A footed bowl in Wedgwood's primrose-yellow jasper — the most coveted and least common of the jasper grounds — banded beneath the rim with a white anthemine border and trailing branches of prunus blossom across the body. Yellow jasper has a warmth that blue and sage simply don't, and paired with the delicate flowering-branch relief it feels both serene and a little unexpected. Impressed WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND with shape numbers to the base. Excellent condition, no chips or hairlines.
