A collector's Valentine plate in pink jasper, the center worked in white relief with a courting scene beneath a great spreading oak — a young woman on a swing, her suitor below — above a ribboned cartouche reading "My Valentine 1983." The wide border is a riot of hearts, cupids, flowering vines, and lovers' knots. Second in Wedgwood's annual Valentine series, a limited edition of 20,000. A romantic piece with built-in dating and provenance. Marked and titled to the reverse. Excellent condition.
