A jeweled scent bottle from the Bohemian workshops, jade-green glass banded in gilded filigree and set with faceted stones the color of rose, moss, and amethyst. The hand of metalworkers is all over it — scrollwork drawn fine as lace, each jewel bezel-set by hand. Marked Czechoslovakia to the base, placing it between the wars, when these little luxuries crossed the Atlantic by the trunkful to dress an American vanity.
